Timeless Portrait Easel Card

Today's share is an easel card I made using the Timeless Portrait DSP and the new Framelits. This is another paper that I have a difficult time working with, but overall, I'm happy with the way it turned out. I think my favorite part is where I attached one of the Trinket Keys to the bow, and as you can see I used the new Large Pearls to hold the card in it's standing position.

Please let me know what you think, and as always, thanks for looking!

Stamps: Perfectly Penned

PPA 126

For today's share, I decided to participate in the current PPA (Pals Paper Arts) Challenge. Right now it's a color challenge using the colors Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, and Very Vanilla.

I decided to make a 3D item as a Thank You gift instead of a card. I first ran a piece of DSP from the Pocketful of Posies package through the Big Shot with the Fancy Favor Die to get the bag. Then I embellished it with Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon and some punched embellishments that I made using the new Framelits and the Apothecary Art stamp set. Inside the bag is a set of miniature cards with envelopes. We used to have cards this size called Ensemble cards...but not anymore. :( No big deal though...I just made my own. Keeping the cards simple, each card is embellished with a small strip of the same DSP, a few Basic Pearls, a bow, and a sentiment from the Perfectly Penned stamp set.

I hope you like it, and thanks for looking!

Enchanted Edges

Today's share is a super simple card using some more of the items from the new Occasions Mini catalog and also from the Sale-A-Bration booklet. I'm still having fun using this pretty new paper and the Mixed Bunch stamp set with it's coordinating punch, but I've also been trying my hand at some other new stuff. Look really closely, and you will see that not only is the Designer Paper cut with the new Edgelits, but I've also used the coordinating Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to go with it. The Adorning Accents Texture Folder set is a set of 3 Embossing Folders that are only about 1 1/2" tall by 5 1/2" wide. So, you can close them over your card in a small area and get these great embossed lines like you see below. I'll be playing more with these and other new products over the weekend, so stay tuned for more.
